I remember back in elementary school, we had to bring in leaves and we set them between 2 sheets of wax paper and the teacher ironed them. If I remember right, it kind of had a stained glass look to it when it was done.
I "googled" how to preserve leaves, and the wax paper method was listed, along with other ways. All the trees are pretty much bare, but I might try something with them next year.....Erik Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08051303728879129181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247474336436209096.post-18755982191362938052013-10-13T10:47:47.521-05:002013-10-13T10:47:47.521-05:00Erik, don't laugh at me but if I where to find...Erik, don't laugh at me but if I where to find such a set of colorful leaves I would dry them and put them behind glass to enjoy their beauty all year round...SonjaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12389245948579828531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247474336436209096.post-45497050733170679962013-10-11T10:08:04.455-05:002013-10-11T10:08:04.455-05:00I'll have to start looking closer at them, but...I'll have to start looking closer at them, but most of the coniferous trees around us are quite large and have long needles.
I've been noticing the differences in the Maple leafs. We must have several varieties in the yard. I've started to notice differences in the Oaks too.
