Where Does Your Bike Live?

A few of the bloggers I follow have posted up pictures of their bikes in their garages. So, I'll follow along. It took me a full day and a half to organize it enough to take a picture. We moved in to this place in the middle of winter and most of the items in the garage were just kind of thrown in. A ton of the boxes destined for the basement were still out in the garage. I still have to mount the kayak racks to the wall so I can get them off the floor and I have 2 pieces of furniture in the garage that I need to find a home for. I have one thing still not moved north, a 1953, Allis-Chalmers, model B tractor. Someday, I'll make a trip to MN to bring it home.

Here are a few of the blogs...

  3. Ooooh look at all that glorious space. Very nice.

Shhhh don't tell anyone, but we had to spend all day Sunday cleaning the garage too. Everything was piled around from our bedroom reno and covered in cork dust from cutting the floor tiles. Believe it or not our little garage now seems huge because we can walk around everything.

    1. I'm still not done. I've been out there all day so far. I took apart one of the bookcases and I'm using the material as shelving. I figure I'll save $50 in materials, and I couldn't sell the bookcase for that much, so why not re-purpose it.

    1. The home was built in 2006 and went into foreclosure 4 years later. When they built it, I think the guy made it his fantasy garage. It's 1200 sq/ft, insulated, finished ceiling, and has in floor hot water heat. I only ran the heat long enough to make sure the tubes in the floor were not frozen. They never had an antifreeze mix in the system, just pure water. It caused boiler problems that had to be fixed by the bank as a condition of purchase. I'm liking it!!!

  5. That's not a garage, it's a shopping mall with indoor parking. You've got to know a lot of people are now suffering from garage envy Erik.
